Two-Year Scent Proving Process

At Gray Duck Candle Co., every fragrance goes through an intensive research and development process to ensure exceptional performance and safety. For each scent, we create 10–15 unique test formulations, refining the balance of fragrance oils, wax, and our PureNorth™ Odor Neutralization Technology.

Each formula then undergoes up to two years of stability and performance testing to confirm long-term scent reliability and clean burning. This extended testing also ensures that our PureNorth™ system does not degrade or interact negatively with the scent oils. The process helps reveal and eliminate any low-quality or adulterated oils that are cut with alcohols or fillers.

The result is a candle you can trust, one that delivers a consistent, clean fragrance from first light to final burn.

To ensure an even and consistent burn, with perfectly balanced scents that subtly fill your space with relaxing and enjoyable scents (except for the Chocolate-Espresso-Bourbon candle...you can't be subtle with Chocolate and Espresso), each candle undergoes rigorous testing in real homes and offices in over a dozen states across the U.S.

We prioritize a healthy and clean burn for all of our candles, utilizing infant- and pet-safe ingredients and scent oils, as well as blending our own proprietary wax blend, made from apricot, coconut, and soy waxes, that burns cleaner, lasts longer, and is free from paraffin and palm waxes.
